Last week, NASCAR hosted its largest event of this year at the Daytona 500, and it had been about as unpredictable as one can expect.Denny Hamlin, a guy called a king of the restrictor-plate races, took home the win as a huge crash pumped out a huge portion of the area down the stretch.
As intermediate racing begins, this week in Atlanta Motor Speedway, there will be many kings on the monitor.
Kevin Harvick is your favorite at 4/1 odds with eight top-10 finishes in his last 10 races and just two career wins over the trail there. While Busch also includes two wins at AMS and five top 10s in his last 10 races, kyle Busch and Joey Logano equally have 6/1 odds. Logano has four top-10 finishes, although no wins.
And while Martin Truex Jr. and Brad Keselowski may get lost in the shuffle, they are more than formidable in Georgia.
This week, who wins? Kyle Larson is due for a win, although it may be foolish to choose against Harvick. Atlanta could be the place for him, although the 26-year-old went with a win year. Larson includes a second place finish in five career races at AMS and three top-10 finishes.
